Transfer Certificates (Out)
Certificates can only be transferred from your company account to another company's account. The buyer in a trade must wait for the seller to transfer certificates to their account.
If you have not yet contacted a company to trade certificates with, click on the Find Account to Trade with link. Specify your search criteria and click the Search button. You can use % to bring up all companies that have agreed to make their contact details available.
A list of matching accounts will be returned. Click the Select link for the account to which you wish to transfer certificates. The contact details of the company will appear.
Once you have agreed to the terms of the transfer, click on the Transfer button. You can now enter the number of certificates and transaction date in the appropriate fields. The earliest date for the transaction is the following day or you can select a date up to 30 days in the future.
To select the company to receive the certificates, click on the Find Account button and search as explained above.
You may like to enter details of the transaction in the Narrative field but this is not necessary. This text will be available to both parties to the transaction.
You may save details of the trade at any time by clicking the Save button.
Trades will only be executed once you click the Notify of Transfer button, at which point a confirmation email will be sent to the lead users of both accounts involved in the trade.
Cancelling a Transfer
You can only cancel a transfer which has not yet taken place.
Click on the Cancel Transfer button. The transfer transaction will be removed from the Certificate Statement screen and a confirmation email will be sent to both parties involved in the transfer.
If the seller has insufficient certificates to complete a transfer, the whole transfer will be cancelled and an email sent to both parties stating that the transfer has failed.
