Password Help

Change a User's Password

This is for when a Lead User changes a user's password or creates a new user account; it does not apply when you select your own password using Change Password from the Account Maintenance menu.

This screen shows the User's Name, Telephone number and the Account's Correspondence Address.

ROS generates a random password consisting of 9 characters including lower case, capitals, numbers and symbols.

Make a note of this password and communicate it to the user. For security reasons, ROS does not send this password to the user.

The first task the user has is to use this new password to log onto ROS. He/she will then be asked to change the password.

There is no enforced password change, though you may decide to change passwords on a regular basis as part of your own IT policy.
