Carbon and Sustainability Report
Carbon & Sustainability Report
An application for RTF certificates for the supply of renewable fuel must include a report on the carbon intensity of the fuel and the sustainability of the feedstock used – a “C&S Report”.
Full details of how to collect and calculate relevant information are included in the Carbon & Sustainability Guidance which can be found on the Reports & Publications section of the RFA website www.renewablefuelsagency.gov.uk/cands.
A C&S report must be completed for a batch of fuel. A batch can be any amount of fuel with identical sustainability characteristics.
Check that the Reported Month End field at the top left of the screen is for the correct period.
The total volume of the batches of each type of fuel reported must match the total volume of renewable fuel included on the Month Volume report. You can compare the totals on this screen as you complete your batches.
To add a new batch click the Add button.
You can then enter the details of each batch of biofuel that has been supplied across the duty point for the period selected.
Detailed Help notes for this are available on the Edit Batch screen.
Check that your totals from the volume return reconcile with the total of your C&S batches. If a variance is shown this should be resolved before you submit the report.
Once you have entered all your C&S batches you need to complete your application for certificates by clicking on the Submit button to submit the information.
Click on the Submit button once you are content with the batches you have entered.
Note: you may still modify your data if an error or more accurate information is found, until any certificates are awarded.
Set Month Clicking on this button will retain the same reporting period when you move from the Carbon & Sustainability Report screen to the Month Volume Summary screen and back again.
Back to Current Month Clicking on this button will mean that you move to the current reporting period each time you change from the Carbon & Sustainability Report screen to the Month Volume Summary screen instead of keeping to the period selected.
